Lady Pres Day 2017


Holywell Ladies and guests joined our lady president to  celebrate her day. The weather was very kind to the ladies and they enjoyed a good day’s golf. 

There are two trophies played for on Lady Presidents Day the first one being for the silver division and the second for the bronze division.   The overall winner was Mrs Joanne Pugh who also won the Silver Division Trophy 2nd Miss Sian Jones 3rd Mrs Maureen Bibby she also won the Bronze Division Trophy 4th Mrs Linda Leach.

Best score on the par 3’s Mrs Shirley Williams with 11 points, longest drive Mrs Joanne Jones, best front nine Mrs Beryl Woods best back nine Mrs Joyce Eakins. 

The visitor’s prize went to Mrs Liz McCure.







Lady Capt Day 2017


Lady Captains Day was enjoyed by lady members of Holywell Golf club visitors and friends. The weather was kind and the ladies enjoyed their game of golf.

They met later at the club and enjoyed a buffet after which the lady Captain presented the prizes.  The winner was Ms Janice Cane second Mrs Brenda Williams and third Mrs Linda Leech nearest the pin on the 11th in 2 was Joanne Jones and highest Stableford score on three mystery holes went to Mrs Stephanie Jones.

The Lady Captains charity was the Alzheimer’s Society and £47.50 was raised.

 The weather stayed kind for our Lady Vice Captain Mrs Linda Leech there was a brilliant turn out of Holywell Ladies and visitors who played in the competition organised for her day. They then joined Linda and other guests in the club houses for a meal. 

The winner was one of our junior members Sian Jones 2nd Maureen Bibby and 3rd Janice Cain.  Joanne Jones had the longest drive and Brenda Williams and guest Hazel Crane had the best scores on the par threes. The guest visitor’s prize went to Christine Ferguson. 

Linda is also Lady Secretary and she does a lot of work on behalf of the Ladies and this is very much appreciated.





The annual lady captain's tour which was to Heron's Reach this year and the overall winner and recipient of the green jacket was Jan Cain.

Great time had despite the wet and windy conditions.
