An 18 hole challenge to golfers of all abilities.

 

Established in 1906.

The Holywell Golf Course lies a mile and a half inland of Holywell in the village of Brynford. The course is located at 800 feet above sea level and  is of a slightly undulating nature.

A Golf Course with views.

There are views of Moel Fammau and the Clwydian Range to the south and west, while on clear days the distant majesty of Snowdonia reveals itself some 40 miles away.

Facilities

Modern changing facilities are available for ladies and gentlemen. The club is a Registered Licensed Non-residential Establishment. There is a bar with full catering services and a snooker room for those wet days.

Visitor Policy

Golf buggies are available and societies and casual visitors are welcome weekdays

without reservation.

Bank Holidays and weekends by prior arrangement with Secretary.

Corporate days can be arranged; please contact the secretary.

At the Annual General Meeting of the Flintshire Golf Captains & Past Captains Association held at St.Melyd recently Kevin Carney was elected President for 2010 following in the illustrious foot steps of club-mates Emyr Morris (1978),Harry Maddock (1987) and Jim Illingworth (1997). Bert Moore  is continuing as Secretary with Kevin 'doubling up' as Treasurer whilst Bryn Edwards remains as Club Delegate.
 
On Friday the Captain and 18 Past Captains held their Annual Dinner when,following tradition they entertained Vice-Captain,Mal Reed as their guest for the evening. Once again a convivial evening was enjoyed with Angela,as usual, putting on an excellent meal.
